Unlike most hay farmers, hay is our main crop. It's not a side hustle or an extra crop, it's what we do. We work hard to raise a quality forage product, because our stock is important.
We currently bale over 300 acres of pure alfalfa. We provide alfalfa to some of the largest stables in the region.
We currently have a few fields of grass alfalfa mix, so our supply of this hay is limited, but that will change over the next couple of seasons.
We have several fields of mixed grass hay. We even have a mixed grass hay that is brood mare safe. We worked with Dr. Beasley at the Beasley Equine Clinic to plant a field mix that is a grass mix, but is also brood mare safe.
